This midi dress was created with a fabric pattern that I created prior to designing the dress. I also used a stretch twill on the body of the dress to balance and add structure.
Original Sketch
In my original sketch the dress had poet sleeves, piping, and a small ditsy floral print. These details were changed in the final garment. The final dress has cowl sleeves and more volume on the bottom flounce.
Muslin Fitting
The dress muslin on a bust form. Fit and style adjustments were made using this muslin prior to cutting out the fashion fabric.
